KS Hegde Medical Academy – Mangalore

The K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) was founded in 1999 and is situated in Mangalore. It has a connection to Nitte University. There are many courses available, including MBBS, MS, MD, BSc, MPH, MRT, PG, MCh, PhD, MPhil, Certificate, and Fellowship programmes. The Medical Council of India recognises the MBBS and MD/MS curricula. It contains 20 departments divided into pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical divisions.

The institution collaborates and conducts research in conjunction with numerous national and international organisations, including BARC Research Centre, Wake Forest University, and University of Toronto. A super-specialty hospital with 1000 beds, Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital, is connected to the organisation. It operates as a teaching hospital for all of the associated programmes, offers major super-specialty services at all levels of holistic health care, and gives academy students training opportunities.
