BLDE – Bijapur

In order to have more autonomy and offer top-notch education, Dr. M. B. Patil, who took over as the General Secretary of BLDEA in 1990, saw the necessity to form a distinct institution. His efforts were successful, and in 2008 BLDE (Deemed to be) University was established. It was created as a presumed university in accordance with Article 3 of the UGC Act of 1956.

The university's constituent college is Shri B. M. Patil Medical Sciences College and Research Centre, founded in 1986. The facilities of BLDE (Deemed to be) University are best in class for delivering top-notch medical education. Its wide campus houses residential quarters, a main library, and all essential medical departments.
