The Laxmi Memorial Education Trust (R.) is the organisation responsible for promoting all medical and paramedical institutions.In honour of Late Laxmi Shetty, the mother of Mr. A.J. Shetty, the Trust's president and managing director, the Family Trust was established in 1991. The Government of Karnataka has granted the Trust recognition as a linguistic minority trust.

Mr. A.J. Shetty, the first industrialist in South Kanara, began his prosperous journey to the world of excellence from a lowly beginning. In a relatively short period of time, Mr. A.J.
